Biography

Kim is a devoted wife and mother, and a third generation Liszt student.  She has passed down her love of music and the arts to hundreds of students over the years, recorded three albums, and appeared at over 2,000 venues to more than a million people. Her quick wit, enthusiasm, and positive outlook through difficult circumstances have gained her audiences at conferences, retreats, churches, military functions, and seminars all over the country.

The Woodhouse family’s story has been on the front page of newspapers, in magazines, articles, medical journals, and most famously featured on ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. They were also asked to share their story on The Montel Williams Show and Discovery Health Channel’s Mystery ER along with hundreds of other TV appearances and radio interviews.

Kim has been writing seriously for more than twenty years. Songs, plays, short stories, novels, picture books, articles, newsletters – you name it – she’s written it. It wasn’t until a dear friend challenged her to “do something with it” that she pursued publication. Now, she is a best-selling author of more than two dozen books, with more on the way. She has won The Carol Award, The Reader’s Choice Award, The Holt Medallion, and has finaled in the Selah Awards and the Spur Awards.

She is passionate about Bible study, reading, music, cooking, and pretty-much-all-things-crafty. Kimberley has been married to her incredible husband for twenty-nine years and counting and they have two married adult children.

What Kim Believes

• I believe in God who created EVERYTHING. The universe, the galaxies, the sun, the sky, the earth, matter, and all within it. I believe in a young earth, and that we are created in His image.
• I believe in Jesus Christ, the only Son of the Father, existing as one with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus came down to earth, born of a virgin, completely God and completely man to be the one and only Sacrifice for all mankind. His sacrifice was once for all and He now sits at the right hand of the Father making endless intercession on our behalf. I believe that He died on the cross and has risen again, and that He is the Messiah, the One and Only, fulfilling all the prophecies.
• I believe in the Holy Spirit, who indwells in the ones who have accepted Jesus as their Savior. The Spirit will lead and guide us if we allow so that we are walking, talking, living, and producing fruit that is glorifying to God.
• I believe there is only one way to eternal life. And that is through faith in Jesus Christ. Works will never get you to heaven, we could never do anything good enough to get us there. But I do believe that a heart that is seeking after Him, will bear much fruit.
• I believe in the infallibility and inerrancy of the Bible, God’s Word. I believe the original texts in Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic were God-breathed to the ones chosen to record them. It is our Sword, our guide, and our way to know Him on a more intimate basis.
• I believe there is more than belief. There is living what I believe. So that the world may know…
