Getting to Know ‘A Million Miles with Kim’ Member, Kathleen

I am so excited about today’s blog. As I mentioned last week’s post, we are launching a new opportunity with ‘A Million Miles with Kim’ – interviews with members!

When I created AMMWK last year, I wanted to create a community that didn’t feel the pressure of being obsessed with looking a certain way, but wanted to come together and get healthy. Cheer one another on as we work toward our individual health goals. It’s why the tagline is, “Adventure is always better with a friend!” Whether it’s been my health or the journey of grief, having someone to walk alongside me has been a huge help. I also know that sometimes all any of us need to take the next step is the experience and encouragement of someone else’s perspective.

So this week it’s my pleasure to introduce Kathleen (and her adorable cat Gumdrop)! Kathleen is an active member in the AMMWK Facebook group and has shared some amazing ways she is getting in her miles.

I hope you enjoy hearing about her health journey.

What is your favorite exercise or way to gain miles?

Kathleen: I walk outside while reading historical fiction and logging virtual miles around the world.

If you could travel anywhere in the world to walk, swim, jog, or bike, what country would it be? Why?

Austria. I have always wanted to go there.

What’s the best piece of health advice you’ve received?

Consistency.

What is one piece of encouragement you want to give to members of ‘A Million Miles with Kim’ or anyone who is thinking about joining the adventure?

I would say to find what works for you and stick with it.

Anything else you’d like to share with the group?

This has really been fun. So nice getting to know everyone while logging our miles together. Thank you!

Thank you for taking time to answer my questions, Kathleen! I love the idea of doing virtual walks, as I’ve shared many times with the Conqueror Challenges. (Keep your eye out here, I’ll be giving away SIX of the Conqueror Challenge codes before the end of the year!)

Enjoy the journey,
Kim
