I’ve been waiting to send out a new blog and newsletter to everyone because my website was being redesigned by Jones House Creative and I couldn’t wait for you all to see it! This month has been a whirlwind and crazy with all kinds of deadlines and everything else, but I’m SO excited that UNDER THE MIDNIGHT SUN released on January 1. We just found out yesterday that it hit the ECPA bestseller list. Thank you all so much! If you haven’t picked up a copy yet, you can find it on the books page here: Under the Midnight Sun
Tracie and I have been so thrilled to hear from all of you about the book. Thank you for loving the Heart of Alaska series.
In other fun news, my next release, THE GOLDEN BRIDE (which continues the Daughters of the Mayflower Series from Barbour) comes out in April and Publisher’s Weekly gave it a STARRED review which just about made me fall out of my chair. I’m so excited to share this next story with you all. The Golden Bride
Here’s the review: (link to full PW review)
“Woodhouse continues her Daughters of the Mayflower series (after The Patriot Bride) with this rich tale set in San Francisco during the 1849 gold rush. Olivia Brighton has been married to Hezekiah Brighton for only six weeks, but she’s unhappy. On their way from San Jose to San Francisco, Hezekiah is killed in a hunting accident and Olivia must make it the rest of the way herself in search of her brother, who she hasn’t seen in 10 years. When Olivia arrives at her brother’s restaurant, she is unprepared for the wretchedness and filth that she finds in the city. Meanwhile, her brother’s friend, devout Joseph Sawyer, is working to clean up immoral San Francisco and fight for better working conditions for Chinese immigrants. Though Olivia is happy to be reunited with her brother, she doesn’t feel safe in the booming, crime-ridden city, and as she is one of the few single, upstanding women in town, she is bombarded with ball invitations and marriage proposals. However, it is Joseph who slowly captures her heart. When Joseph uncovers an underground slavery operation and Olivia gets involved in Joseph’s work, they face grave danger. Woodhouse’s love story rises above other historical romances with its engrossing setup of virtue resisting rampant sin. (Apr.)”
And now, it’s back to writing I go… Tracie and I are working on the first book in the Treasure of Nome Series which starts Jan. of 2020 🙂
I love hearing from you all so feel free to leave a comment or message here. Have a blessed day!
