Hey Everyone,

This is gonna be from the gut (or heart, whichever you are more comfortable with <giggle>).

I know it’s been a hot minute (or five million) since I’ve sent something out. Frankly, since my father passed away in February, I’ve been running to catch back up and working through the grief that is part of being a human being and loving someone. Loss is hard for those left behind. It’s not hard for Dad – he’s completely whole – of that I’m certain.

Even through the grief, I have been so filled with joy through the past almost seven months since Dad left his earthly shell. Yes, it’s hard and sometimes my creative process feels like I’m slogging through mud, but I am SO happy. Relieved. Grateful. 

Yes, JOYFUL. 

But I have had a difficult time launching my books this year. Oh, it’s not hard in the sense that my publishers are AMAZING and have gotten them out there. It’s been hard because I – as the author – haven’t had the oomph to really get things out there. Thankfully, I have a wonderful team that has been so supportive and helpful and gotten things up on social media. They are THE BEST. But there hasn’t been as much personal communication from me. My capacity was at its limit. But I’m coming up for air now. One day at a time.

All that to say, I have a new book releasing on September 26th.

I am SO excited about this book and this series. One – it’s my Dino series. Two – it’s women in paleontology. Three – it has been one of my favorite books to write. Ever.
