Drumroll Please…

I know I’ve said it before, but 2013 isn’t going down in the hall of fame of great years for Kim. But it still has been an incredible year… (I’ll get to that in a minute.)

In fact, there are many days where I am convinced that if I just had minions, everything would run smoothly and I would be able to accomplish everything I set out to do that day. I know, I know… keep laughing. It reminds me of Evan Almighty when Steve Carell (Evan) is talking to Morgan Freeman (God) and says that building an ark is not really part of his plans and Morgan Freeman laughs hysterically at him… “Your plans…”

Ah yes, what I had planned for 2013 was not at all what happened.

But we’re not going to recap the craziness that has been 2013, oh no. We don’t want to go there ๐Ÿ™‚

But I do want to share some really exciting and fun news with you all…

Yep – We had our first booksigning for ALL THINGS HIDDEN this past weekend and it was a blast. Not only did I have the awesome privilege to write with Tracie Peterson one of my dearest friends, but I got to watch in awe as she greeted fans and wrote down prayer requests.ย  Let me tell you, I love her. She’s amazing.

We have been overjoyed to hear that Romantic Time chose ALL THINGS HIDDEN as a Top Pick and gave the book their highest rating of 4.5 stars, and Publisher’s Weekly gave it a fantastic starred review (which is hard to come by!) But more than all of that, Tracie and I are praying that our story touches lives in a huge way for God. That’s what it’s all about.

On top of all the excitement for the book’s launch, Jeremy and I have huge news on the homefront: Joshua and Kayla graduated from High School last week. We are so proud, and also a little forlorn as our homeschooling years have come to a close. But we are praising God for what He has done in our lives and in the lives of our children.

Hopefully, I will get a blog post up about Graduation and their special time soon. As always, we appreciate your prayers and support. Please continue to pray for Kayla as her health hasn’t been the greatest the past year and the doctors are doing their best to figure out the issues.

Hope you all had a blessed Thanksgiving!

Kim
