Well folks, we are back.

2013 rushed in, and now Kayla and I are back to blogging and everything else after our little hiatus. Yes, things are still crazy. Yes, there will always be craziness. But we are looking forward to the journey and with you – our readers – along for the ride.

I have a lot of writer friends. I’m sure you’ve probably figured that out by now. But there’s a very small circle of writer friends that are the caliber of deep, best friends.

Ronie Kendig is one of those. She’s a beautiful person inside and out, and she’s a brilliant – and I mean BRILLIANT author. Let me tell you, I love this woman to pieces. She’s been there through ups and downs and ins and outs. (And our families love to hang together too!) I am blessed to have her in my life.

So, when Barbour was looking for novella collections for their Romancing America line – I called Ronie. We both love to write high-action suspense, and she was an invaluable critique partner for me on our Alaska novels – No Safe Haven, and Race Against Time. It was natural to ask her if she would want to write a collection of novellas taking place in Alaska with our love for suspense thrown in.

We had a BLAST brainstorming these stories together and then writing them.
