The End of 2020…

2020. An interesting year. Right?

I know many of you are looking forward to putting it behind you, and I completely understand that. Our families went through four hurricanes this year and are still cleaning up/rebuilding. My entire speaking schedule and book tours got canceled because of the pandemic. There were family emergencies, surgeries, sickness, and all kinds of craziness. Then the Lord “trimmed” some things out of my life. Things that I loved. And to top it all off, I had to write a lot of words. Words that took a lot more out of me than ever before. Because… it was 2020. And the year has just been…weird.

But then some really beautiful and amazing things happened. Our daughter got married. We were able to go to the wedding and also got the chance to see our son and daughter-in-love. My husband was able to go down and help his mom out after one of the hurricanes. Then we found out that our first grandbaby is on the way.

2020 has brought a LOT. A lot of hardship, a lot of joy.

And now… it’s brought about something else for us.

We are moving to the Poconos.

We love Montana, our friends here, and our church family. It is very, VERY hard to say goodbye, but we need to be closer to our family.

So in the midst of the pandemic, we find ourselves preparing to move. It’s a bit surreal for me and I’m still processing. But God’s hand is all over this. We are receiving such beautiful encouragement and support from our people here in Montana. It has brought tears to my eyes many times. And our new church family in Pennsylvania has been precious.

I’m in the middle of editing two books and need to get those done ASAP and also need to sort and pack. I know… oh fun! 🙂 So you may not hear from me for a while – other than the launch of ENDLESS MERCY which is January 5.

Thank you for your prayers, support, and encouragement. Once again, I couldn’t do what I do – without you.

Grabbing onto JOY,
Kim

  1. Congratulations on all the happy moments you and your family have had this year. What a gorgeous place you’re moving to as well. Prayers for your transition and deadlines and of course, the upcoming grandbabies arrival.

  2. Past, present and future all rolled up into one year. God’s journey for our lives is so amazing, also head-spinning at times. Prayers for you and your family as you follow God’s path. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻

  3. New adventures await!
May you be blessed by His SONshine in all you do. I know your new home will be a joy for all we visit.

So nice to be near family.

    Big hugs.

Ps I’ve got to hands if you need them.

  4. Praying for a safe and fulfilling move. Being closer to family is important. But it can be difficult to leave the familiar friends and home behind. We did that 11 years ago and it was so hard. Still
Brings tears. But We were able to take care of my ill mom for 2.5 years until She passed. Without moving we would not have had that honor. God led us in the direction we needed to go before we realized how urgent the need really was. He knows best. God bless you. Enjoy the grand baby. They make life so special.

  5. Blessings as you move. Pennsylvania is beautiful. My Dad was born there and we visited for two weeks every summer. I’d still like to go back. You will have loads of history nearby! More research?
Praying everything goes smoothly. Congratulations on the grand baby.

  6. Welcome to Pennsylvania! Moving is never an easy process and I pray all goes well and smoothly for you in this transition. Wonderful that you already have a church family there! I am born and raised in Pennsylvania and live about 1.5 hours south of the Poconos. Congratulations on your new grandchild! All the best to you in the new year!

  7. Praying for you Kimberley! I know the moving has to be hard especially with everything else going on. Congratulations on your new grandchild. That is a wonderful thing to look forward to. Nothing better than having grandchildren.
